2019 Dispensing Fee Change

Dear Clients,

As per the Government Gazette No.42183 the dispensing fee has been amended as follows:

• Where the SEP of a scheduled medicine is less than R124.00 the dispensing fee must not exceed 30% of the SEP

• Where the SEP of a scheduled medicine is greater than or equal to R124.00 the dispensing fee shall not exceed R37.20 (exclusive VAT) and R42.78 (inclusive VAT).

If your PMA Utilises the Medprax Calculation Table then this fee will automatically be updated by the Medprax file.

Should your PMA not make use of the Medprax Calculation Table, please contact your software vendor to assist you to change this within your PMA.
