The following changes are effective from 01 January 2009 and will be available on the Medprax
  Medical aid updates from the 02 January 2009

• Purehealth has discontinued the Impilo and Ozone options but have introduced the PURE Network and the PURE Hospital options.
  
  

• Keyhealth has introduced four new options as follows: Bronze Network, Silver Network, Gold Network and Plantinum Network.
  
  

• Momentum Health has taken over the administration of the Moto Healthcare Scheme and the Custom and Essential options are Carecross options.
  
  

• Openplan amalgamates with Medihelp scheme, members to receive new membership cards.
  
  

• Spectramed is now administered by Medscheme Nexus.
  
  

• Dicovery has introduced new Delta options.
  
  

• Bestmed has introduced the Vitalcare Hospital Plan.
  
  

• Afrisam is now to be administered by Discovery.
  
  

• The Carecross option for Bankmed Core has been discontinued.
  
  

• Bono Plus option for Medicover is now a Carecross option.
  
  

• The Medicross Platinum option for  Day 1 Health has been discontinued.
  
  

• The Primecure options for the Protea Scheme have been discontinued.

Please note these changes will be included in our Medical aid file and will therefore be automatically updated on your system if you receive this file. Please run your Practice Management Software and import the latest Medprax file for the new Medical Aid changes.  If you are currently not receiving the Medical aids data file and would like further information on this file please contact Adrienne on the office number below.
