Please note that the National Reference Price List for Radiologists, Effective from 1 January 2009 stipulates the following: Item number 00090: Consumables used in Radiology procedures: Cost price plus 26% (up to a maximum of R26.00). (Where applicable, VAT should be added) This implies that if an item costs more than R100.00 a Radiologist may mark the item up by only R26.00 After consultation with the Radiology Society, Medprax has decided NOT to implement the above on our Radiology product and price list until instructed by the Society to do so. Our price list will continue to include the regulation 35% mark-up on consumables as before.
