New Dispensing Fee for Doctors
 

On 9 June 2009 a  correction notice  was published in the Government Gazette:

The Dispensing Fee must be calculated Exclusive of VAT

Where the SEP of a scheduled medicine is < R65, the dispensing fee must not exceed 30% of the SEP
This 30% must exclude VAT.
Where the SEP of a scheduled medicine is greater or equal to R65, the dispensing fee shall not exceed R20,
VAT exclusive
