Attention all Bluebird users.


Has this happened to you?

  • It has come to our attention that a certain lab is not sending your Bluebird archives which may result in a continuity break. Please do not let them do this!!

  • Unless specific arrangements have been made with lab "L" to stop sending reports and you are happy with this arrangement, please let them know that you would like your Bluebird archive to remain intact.  
  • One lab periodically turns off reports to their doctors and waits to see if they complain! Doctors who make use of the Bluebird service for historic reports are not aware of this situation until they cannot find past reports. The lab's cavalier action creates holes in the longitudinal record which undermines the value of your archive.

  • If you believe this might have happened to you, email darryl@bluebird.co.za and Bluebird will work closely with your chosen lab to attempt to sort out the problem.

This service has been available to specialists for the past couple of years and has now been expanded to include all medical professionals.
